Für die Indizierung der Blätter wurde eine im Sinne einfacherer Benutzbarkeit modifizierte ICONCLASS-Systematik benutzt. Der Index führt zunächst den deutschen Suchbegriff, anschließend die ICONCLASS-Notation und schließlich eine Liste der Blätter an, in denen der gesuchte Begriff zu finden ist. Dabei stehen die Realia im Vordergrund. Eine attributive, allegorische oder symbolische Bedeutung eines Dings, die innerhalb des ICONCLASS zur Aufnahme unter mehreren Kategorien führt, wurde nicht berücksichtigt. |
